Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues to management.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and provide support, especially to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications
