Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Energy Sales Representative is responsible for developing and implementing a successful sales strategy to grow the fuel, lubricant, and propane business for Keystone Cooperative within the assigned area by building lasting relationships with customers and prospects.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:
- Lead generation, initial contact with prospects, developing logistics solutions, and closing new business.
- Establish and grow a regional energy distribution business.
- Make formal and informal sales presentations.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Take inbound fuel orders and process them.
- Manage logistics and resolve logistical issues.
- Understand and execute price arbitrage in petroleum markets.
- Monitor logistics and documentation support effectiveness.
- Build internal networks with effective communication.
- Ensure order accuracy in company software.
- Address and resolve logistical and relationship issues.
- Target new customers and maintain a pipeline for margin growth.
- Maintain customer relationships and communicate effectively.
- Build relationships that translate into business opportunities.
- Handle relationship problems maintaining standards and relationships.
- Knowledge of industry products.
- Negotiation, project, and account management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- Successful presentation skills at all organizational levels.
- Organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Sales performance and mathematical aptitude.
- Basic technology troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3 years petroleum sales experience preferred.
