Job Summary /

Essential Functions:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform welding on all equipment at the jobsite.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of catastrophic failures.
• Fuel and grease equipment as required.
• Keep records of work performed.

Special Skills or Qualifications

Required:

• At least one year of experience in welding and repair of heavy diesel equipment, including hard surfacing and repair of ground engaging tools.
• Ability to weld in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Proficient in using a torch, air arc, stick weld, and wire weld.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding units and metals used in mining equipment.
• Experience in align boring and re-facing for at least one year.
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Effective communication and coordination with co-workers and supervisors.
• Adherence to Company, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets and operate power and hand tools.
• Willingness to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements for Surface Operations:

• Constant walking, standing, stair and ladder climbing, working overhead, bending, and twisting.
• Prolonged standing and squatting without support.
• Sitting for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
• Work from elevated positions, climb stairs, and ascend/descend 14' ladders.
• Lift and carry loads between 10-50 lbs frequently.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting boxes and working overhead with light loads.
• Maintain balance on beams and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
• Work in extreme conditions including weather changes, dust, mud, noise, varying light conditions, hot environments, and confined spaces.
• Operate equipment with moderate to high vibration levels.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
