Facility Electrician

Description

Responsible for following FIA, OSHA, and Electrical codes and safety guidelines. Also, responsible for the installation and removal of electrical activities, including but not limited to new line installations and line expansions. Additionally, performs preventive maintenance activities and completes daily tasks assigned by Maintenance leadership. This position also involves escalating issues that could impact production performance to the maintenance leadership team.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and blueprints; ability to craft electrical documents and blueprints.
• Ability to use electrical hand tools and power tools.
• Understanding of safety procedures, legal codes, and guidelines.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in electrical repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints and using necessary electrical tools.
• Familiarity with installation of bus taps and cable trays.
• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, organized.
• Excellent technical knowledge and a self-motivated, results-oriented attitude.
• Hands-on work ethic.
• Ability to work in environments with dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise.
• Ability to work around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
• Ability to work from elevated and sub-level work areas.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, lift (up to 50 pounds), reach, kneel, crawl, and twist; good vision, hearing, and communication skills.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided.
• Ability to work under stress and responsibilities, demonstrating safety and company core values.
• Driver’s license and passport or ability to obtain one.
• Physical tasks include lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, twisting, and working from heights.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and occasionally travel by vehicle or plane.
