Summary
Supervise on-site performance and offer work‑related support for eligible staff.
Responsibilities- Responsible for one‑on‑one job coaching supports in relation to each eligible staff member’s specific job‑related vocational needs.
- Ensuring natural supports at the worksite are secure through interactions with supervisors and staff.
- Conduct training, re‑training and ongoing employment supports necessary to maintain competitive employment for eligible staff.
- Responsible for monitoring supported employment services, including regular contact with supervisors, and data collection.
- Attend professional training sessions, seminars, in‑services and staff meetings as recommended by administration.
- Assist in designing and implementing individualized training plans and collecting the appropriate data.
- Facilitate communication between staff and supervisors to assure employment success.
- Assist in compiling staff productivity information.
- Promote the health and safety of all staff through adherence to all agency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and updated program and work records.
- Assist in maintaining all records in compliance with ISO and department procedure.
- Write clear, concise narratives documenting all billable activity.
- Ensure the implementation of all work/future planning for caseload assigned.
- All other duties as deemed necessary.
- Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
- Maintain reliable transportation available during working hours, valid driver’s license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.
- Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
- Maintain good hygiene.
- Possess excellent research and writing skills.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with people of varied backgrounds.
- Possess the ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products (computer literate).
- Accept responsibility and demonstrate leadership.
- Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast‑paced environment.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in the area of Human Services is desirable. The ability to supervise on‑site job performance is required. Valid driver’s license is required. Driving record must meet insurability requirements and the employee must furnish own transportation.
Physical requirements:
May require but will not be limited to standing, walking, reaching, lifting and balancing.
The position requires staff to alternate from a sitting position to a standing position frequently. Repetitive motion required. Lifting, bending, twisting, and turning are required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud. Use of personal protective equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves is occasionally required.
