Production Shift Supervisor 12-hour Night Shift (7PM-7AM)
Base pay: $68,000.00/hr - $72,000.00/hr

Job SummaryReports to the Manufacturing Manager and supervises the night shift production of glass vials and cartridges. The role is a 12‑hour shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Essential Functions- Review operations of the preceding shift, including job status, equipment, production schedules, and material availability.
- Verify proper machine operation across lehrs, packers, printers, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Monitor production KPIs (scrap, downtime, job changes) and allocate resources to meet company targets.
- Assign daily duties to operators, hot‑end specialists, and packers; coordinate maintenance and quality control on the evening shift.
- Train new employees on all machines and processes.
- Monitor Statistical Process Control using Infinity QS for dimensional capability (Cp/Cpk).
- Adhere to all quality objectives and ensure standards are met.
- Maintain production records in SAP and verify data accuracy.
- Manage employee time‑and‑attendance tracking for the shift.
- Enforce plant health, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
- Support the GMS initiative through team participation.
- Maintain an open communication program with all employees.
- Ensure accuracy of the employee time and attendance system.
- Collaborate internally with Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Pack Room Coordinator, Hot End Specialist, Machine Operators, Selector Packers, Quality Control, and Maintenance.
- Collaborate externally with customers, vendors, and other Gerresheimer facilities.
- Demonstrate behavior that meets Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, and Good Housekeeping requirements.
- Wear required safety gear (glasses, hair/beard nets, lab coats, hearing protection).
- Be available to work any shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Three to five years in glass production or related manufacturing.
- Experience directing and supervising employees.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow established technical and administrative procedures.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Use of calipers and gauges.
- Fluency in English.
$68,000.00–$72,000.00 per hour.
