Cost Accounting Manager

Base Pay Range

$90,000 - $130,000 per year

We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our team!

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
• Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
• Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.
• Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine the effect on cost.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization.
• Perform ad‑hoc product/plant cost analysis to support operations.
• Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
• Forecast and plan future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Experience with public company reporting and compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Experience in preparing detailed financial reports.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
