Environment, Health and Safety Manager
- Construction
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
- Lead site‑specific safety plans (SSSP), job hazard analyses (JHA), and risk assessments
- Conduct regular job site safety audits, inspections, and field observations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, including fall protection, excavation, confined space, crane operations, and PPE
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientation for employees, subcontractors, and site visitors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits
- Track safety metrics, OSHA logs, incident rates, and leading indicators
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to integrate safety into daily operations
- Oversee subcontractor safety compliance and enforce safety standards
- Manage environmental compliance including spill prevention, waste management, stormwater, and hazardous materials
- Lead emergency response planning and drills
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5+ years of EHS experience in construction or industrial environments
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Proven experience conducting safety training and site audits
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand construction processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
- OSHA 30 or OSHA 500/510 certification
- CHST or other safety‑related certifications
- Experience supporting multi‑site or large‑scale construction projects
- No much travel
