Civil Project Manager​/Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong background in civil engineering, construction management and project leadership to contribute to complex programmes that support essential public infrastructure.

You will take responsibility for projects from initial planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover. Key duties will include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, forecasts and risk registers; coordinating design teams, consultants, contractors and supply-chain partners; and ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards. You will oversee contract administration, change control, progress reporting and stakeholder engagement, while proactively resolving issues and identifying opportunities to improve project performance.

The role will also involve providing leadership to project teams, mentoring less experienced colleagues and maintaining effective relationships with clients, regulators and operational stakeholders.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, with substantial experience delivering water, wastewater or comparable heavy civil infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety requirements, quality assurance, environmental controls and commercial management is essential. Experience working under NEC or similar forms of contract, together with a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex programmes, would be highly advantageous.

You will need excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make informed decisions in a demanding project environment. Professional registration or membership of an appropriate industry body is desirable.
