Customer Service Representative I – Sentara Health
OverviewSentara Health is seeking a full‑time remote Customer Service Representative located in Virginia or North Carolina. The position requires occasional onsite travel to address connectivity issues.
Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on a day shift. The role involves handling all telephone inquiries from members and patients, including eligibility, prescription benefits, claim payments, billing updates, payment plans, and scheduling.
Responsibilities- Answer incoming calls and resolve issues related to member eligibility, prescription benefits, and claim payments.
- Update billing information and establish payment plans.
- Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
- Maintain accurate call records and data entry for high‑volume calls.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Two years of customer service experience (required).
- Previous data entry experience (required).
- Experience in a high‑volume call center (preferred).
Base pay range: $16.35 – $23.08 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, bonus opportunities, and extra shift incentives.
