Overview
Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus.

- Teach courses within the Engineering and Computer Science department at all levels both on campus and online.
- Mentor students outside of the classroom in a variety of ways, including academic mentoring, providing graduate and undergraduate research opportunities, supporting student competition teams, serving on committees, and engaging in outreach for recruitment and retention.
- Perform research with the potential to build an national/international reputation, engage in industrial collaborations, and provide innovative teaching.
- Support department service efforts that maintain program accreditation and designations through regular assessment and improvement of programs, curriculum, and instruction.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred. M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering will be considered.
- Demonstrate proven skills in leadership, research achievement, and professional engagement.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple tasks.
- Critical thinking, analysis, writing, and project management capabilities.
- Must be fully supportive of the mission and direction of Regent University and the College of Arts and Sciences to develop and promote Christian leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and complete detailed work.
- Demonstrates the Regent values of excellence, innovation, and integrity.
Expectations include: dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; a record of or potential for academic scholarship; ability to teach undergraduate-level courses; facility with online instructional technology; and alignment with the College and University Identity and Mission statements and statement of Christian faith.
