General Chemistry Teacher

Job Overview

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking a Chemistry Teacher for the  school year.

Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students, create an atmosphere conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development, and supervise students in various school settings. Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, communicate with students, parents, staff, and the community, and develop instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of education, knowledge of VBCPS curriculum, and a Virginia teacher license. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills are required.

Entry-level salary: $55,687. Salary will be based on job-related creditable years of full-time experience. Full-time position with an instructional experience-based step pay scale.
