Job Overview

Under direction of the school principal, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences that ensure success for every student. Create an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Supervise students in a variety of school‑related settings, monitor and evaluate outcomes, and communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community.

• Knowledge of VBCPS curriculum and techniques for integrating curriculum and policies.
• Thorough understanding of the teaching and learning process.
• Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
• Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
• Effective collaboration with administrators, colleagues, central office, school‑based staff, students, parents, and community.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human‑relations skills.

Principal or Designee

• Full Time
• Daily Rate (unlicensed): $125.00 per day
• Daily Rate (licensed): $135.00 per day
• Long‑term Rate (after 20 consecutive days substituted): $205.00 per day
• Eligibility for long‑term rate: licensed in Virginia with a subject‑Military endorsement or imminent eligibility for that license.
