In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:

  • Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
  • Establish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
  • Assume the electrical lead on many projects
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete projects on schedule
  • Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
  • Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Work will include a mixture of office and field work and may require travel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm desired
  • Preference given to local candidates


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited Degree)
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design (lighting/power/systems/controls);
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal, and control design
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
