Senior Marine Cost Estimator - Federal

We’re seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with marine estimating experience for projects ranging from $25M to $25B. The role encompasses heavy civil/marine projects such as piers, dry docks, flood walls, breakwaters, and other heavy civil developments. It is primarily remote, ideally located near a local office. The position involves reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attending design development meetings, assessing risk and cost impacts, and developing estimates.

• Develop capital cost estimates for heavy civil/marine type projects
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
• Review and validate change orders
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records, and logs
• Attend project meetings as required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10-15 years of estimating and construction experience
• Proficient use of MS Office products and estimating software(s)
• US Citizenship

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field
• Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) estimating software
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software
• Alternative delivery procurement experience
• Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule
• Certifications such as a CPE, CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM (plus)
