OverviewWe’re seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with marine estimating experience for projects ranging from $25M to $25B. The role encompasses heavy civil/marine projects such as piers, dry docks, flood walls, breakwaters, and other heavy civil developments. It is primarily remote, ideally located near a local office. The position involves reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attending design development meetings, assessing risk and cost impacts, and developing estimates.
Responsibilities- Develop capital cost estimates for heavy civil/marine type projects
- Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
- Review and validate change orders
- Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs
- Maintain organized and detailed files, project records, and logs
- Attend project meetings as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 10-15 years of estimating and construction experience
- Proficient use of MS Office products and estimating software(s)
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field
- Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) estimating software
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software
- Alternative delivery procurement experience
- Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule
- Certifications such as a CPE, CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM (plus)
