Project Manager - Water Treatment​/Pumping

Overview

Jacobs is seeking a Water Treatment/Pumping Project Manager in the mid‑Atlantic and East Central region. Base salary range: $ – $ per year.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to design, construct, and commission water treatment plants and pump stations.
• Apply conventional and advanced treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, granular media filtration, membrane filtration, disinfection (ozone, UV, chlorine), adsorption, and pilot‑scale and full‑scale designs.
• Support business development efforts by developing long‑term client relationships and presenting technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with team building.
• Ensure projects meet design fees greater than $4 M and comply with engineering standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years experience in consulting engineering with a focus on water treatment and process engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary teams for large projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated initiator with professional society involvement.
• Experience in designing water distribution systems, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, and wastewater treatment plants.
• Understanding of drinking water supply master planning and treatment technologies.
• Relocation assistance considered.
