Joint SOF Trainer (Operations and Planning) IV - NAVSOF

CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, a Pequot company, is seeking a Joint SOF Trainer for a high‑visibility program that provides training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The selected candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities required to execute the various portions of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for TRIDENT Exercise events.

Responsibilities

The Joint SOF Trainer will:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all phases of the Joint Event Life Cycle for TRIDENT exercises.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among USSOCOM Battle Staff, Geographic Combatant Commands, TSOC, and partner nations.
  • Interface with senior staff (O5/O6, GOFO) at TSOCs, components, CCMDs, services, and interagency partners.
  • Prepare and deliver formal classroom training on the Joint Training System, the Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX), and the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP).
Work Environment
  • Moderate noise (office machine and printers) and occasional loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.
  • Ability to work in remote and rural environments.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, and hear for prolonged periods.
  • Use of hands and fingers to operate a computer.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle in city, highway, and rural roads CONUS and OCONUS.

Travel
  • Regular travel 21–49% of the time.

Requirements Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in SOF or prior E8+, CW4+ with 10 years of SOF experience.
  • Current, active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
  • JSOTF/TSOC level experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of recent experience serving in a command, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a SOF (USSOCOM/TSOC), service, Joint Staff, OSD, or 3‑4 star level HQs within the past 8 years.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with the Joint Training System.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in joint operations and operational‑strategic level SOF planning and operations.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in APEX and JOPP.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience directly interfacing with senior staff (O5/O6 and GOFO).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organization skills; proven formal classroom delivery.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for CeLeen liability insurance a clean driving record.
  • Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real‑.
  • Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. CeLeen will not sponsor work visas for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Former SEAL or SWCC experience.
  • Familiarity/access to Theater OPLANs/CONPLANs.
  • Experience employing Partner Forces in exercises.
  • Knowledge of CONOP approval process.
  • Ability to support JELC requirements (Planning conferences, MSEL scripting, White Cell staffing).
  • Preferred 2 years’ experience as a platform instructor in a professional military education/training environment.
