Position DescriptionThe AN/SPY-6(V)2/3 Testing Project Officer will provide leadership and direction which includes all facets of organizing, planning, and executing Shipboard and Land Based Testing Events, including Developmental Testing, Operational Testing, CSSQTs, Builder’s Trials, and Acceptance Trials. The position will have the responsibility to perform tasks involving skillful and diversified application of technical and engineering skills related to state‑of‑the‑art technology for United States Navy Radar Systems and Combat Systems.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Evaluates/analyzes test requirements, methodologies, resources, and constraints.
- Defines, plans, and executes critical projects that involve multiple technical disciplines and organizations.
- Prepares and delivers briefs for senior leaders on program plans and status.
- Assess and address Combat System equipment and crew readiness to execute the test plan through technical leadership of required T&E installations, readiness assessment, integration and rehearsals.
- 5 years of experience with Surveillance Radars, including AN/SPY-6 Family of Radars (FoRs) or equivalent experience with AN/SPY-1 Radar Systems

- Assess and address Combat System equipment and crew readiness to execute the test plan through technical leadership of required T&E installations, readiness assessment, integration, and rehearsals.
- Minimum of five years of experience with Surveillance Radars, including AN/SPY-6 Family of Radars (FoRs) or equivalent experience with AN/SPY-1 Radar Systems.
- Minimum of three years of experience with AEGIS Combat System and/or SSDS Combat System platforms with defining, planning, and executing critical projects that involve multiple technical disciplines and organizations.
- Minimum of three years of experience with Project Management in assessing Cost, Schedule, and Performance to result in timely accomplishment of the overall assignments.
- Prior Project Officer/Testing Officer experience or military experience within the Combat Systems support communities is highly desired.
- Experience briefing senior leaders on program plans and status.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Business Disciplines
- Estimated up to 50% travel, All CONUS locations, including U.S Navy Shipboard, Land Sites, and Shipbuilding Areas (i.e. San Diego, CA, Pascagoula, MS, Port Hueneme, CA, Wallops Island, VA).
