Engineer - Stormwater Management Regulatory Division, #48195 – City of Virginia Beach
The City of Virginia Beach is recruiting a team player to join Public Works Engineering to support implementation of the City’s Capital Improvement Program projects for the Transportation, Flood Protection, Coastal, and Water Quality programs. This position will serve as the lead project reviewer for the erosion and stormwater management program and will coordinate with other project managers in Public Works Engineering.
This position may be classified as an Engineer II (salary range: $69,298.32 – $) or an Engineer III (salary range: $80,221.47 – $) depending on qualifications and experience.
Representative work duties include but are not limited to:- Perform reviews of CIP design and record drawing submittals and manage reviews performed through contract services for compliance with the City’s erosion and stormwater management ordinance.
- Coordinate with Project Managers in Public Works Engineering related to project implementation requirements and comment resolution.
- Perform document and database management.
- Perform updates to procedures and guidance documents.
- Coordinate with City departments, outside agencies, and the public.
- Required:
Hold a valid Virginia DEQ Erosion and Stormwater Plan Reviewer Certification within the first year of employment. - Preferred experience and certifications as described in the application.
