The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure. This role supports enterprise‑wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.
What You Will DoThe candidate will work closely with other team members and departments to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations used throughout the enterprise. Additional duties include:
- Microsoft Windows server administration
- Manage GPOs, create and modify DHCP reservations, patching, and STIG compliance
- Author standard operating procedures and train junior personnel
- Provide Tier 2 technical support
- Work independently and collaborate within a team environment
Minimum qualifications are:
- 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or
7 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field, or
4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field, or
High School Diploma and 13 years relevant experience - Security+ or equivalent certification
- Server subject‑matter expert
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Strong attention to detail, customer focus, and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Exchange 2016 and Office 2019, including mail flow, GPOs, AD/DS, DNS, OWA, ECP, DAG, WSUS/SCCM, and Windows Server 2016/2019
- Experience implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and patching Microsoft servers and workstations
- Experience installing release upgrades to Exchange and other servers
- Linux+ or Microsoft certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to meet the requirements of a Software Engineer family position.
