Position: Integration Support Lead Engineer (MuleSoft)

Integration Support Lead Engineer (Mule Soft) – KPMG US

Join KPMG US’s Digital Nexus technology organization in this hybrid role, providing advanced support for Mule Soft integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert for Mule Soft, overseeing daily operation and health; collaborate with specialists to resolve complex integration issues.
  • Manage and prioritize production support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders; perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures to maintain system stability.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system configuration, production, and deployment problems; use monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Mule Soft Monitoring, queues) to address performance bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (business analysts, developers, project managers) to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions; communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and deploy Mule Soft APIs, integrations, and batch processes using Anypoint Studio, Anypoint API Manager, and Cloud Hub.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in enterprise integration with practical experience on the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree;
    Mule Soft Certified Developer (Mule
    4) a plus.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing Mule Soft solutions (API‑led connectivity, RESTful/SOAP APIs, Data Weave); proficiency with Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Data Weave, Mule 4.x runtime, API governance, and security policies (OAuth 2.0).
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, JMS, JDBC), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV); working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), Dev Ops practices, and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to triage and resolve complex technical issues independently; translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; KPMG will not sponsor U.S. work visas.
