SAP WM Consultant

Position Summary:

Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for a highly experienced Senior SAP WM Consultant with deep, hands‑on configuration expertise to lead client WM projects in support of distribution model changes. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing enhancements and additional WM configuration to strengthen supply chain resiliency across a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to translate evolving business requirements into effective system solutions and serve as a trusted partner to both technical and operational stakeholders.

Experience or familiarity with SAP EWM is a strong plus.

• Lead SAP WM configuration efforts to support changes in distribution processes, warehouse operations, and supply chain resiliency initiatives.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess impacts, and translate needs into scalable SAP WM solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy WM enhancements — including inbound/outbound processes, putaway strategies, picking strategies, storage types/sections/bins, stock movements, and RF transactions.
• Troubleshoot WM issues and provide expert‑level support for ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (MM, PP, SD, IT Infrastructure, 3PL partners, etc.) to ensure seamless solution integration.
• Prepare and deliver documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials.
• Support system testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) and ensure solution readiness for go‑live.
• Provide thought leadership on best practices and process improvements within SAP WM and warehouse operations.
• Work in a fast paced, manufacturing‑focused environment, balancing multiple priorities and delivering high‑quality output under tight timelines.

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience as an SAP WM Consultant, with extensive configuration background.
• Proven experience implementing or enhancing SAP WM in complex distribution, manufacturing, or 3PL environments.
• Strong functional knowledge of core WM processes: inbound, outbound, inventory management, storage control, replenishment, RF frameworks, handling units, and stock transport processes.
• Prior involvement in large‑scale WM redesigns, distribution model changes, or multi‑site rollouts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead requirements gathering sessions and interface directly with business users.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills with proven history of working directly with business stakeholders.
• Prior S/4 HANA experience preferred, though not required.
• Prior SAP EWM experience preferred, though not required.
