Job titleTravel Analyst
Job purposeProvide travel and Defense Travel System (DTS) analysis, assistance, and training support to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), NECC Pacific (NECCPAC), and all subordinate commands as required. On-site support services are provided. Occasional travel may be required to sites located within the United States or abroad (CONUS/OCONUS).
Job duties and responsibilities- Provide sound judgment and advice to travelers in accurately completing DTS travel or related documents following internal and external policies and procedures.
- Provide travelers with points of contact and URLs to complete DTS travel and related documents required for travel authorization and settlement vouchers, as per policies and procedures.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and support to Approving Officials to identify and resolve travel authorization and settlement voucher processing problems.
- Extract DTS reports to ensure airfare is ticketed and documents are stamped "approved" before traveler departure dates.
- Extract reports such as Un-submitted Voucher, Departure, Airline Cancellation, Approved Status, and Unused Ticket Reports.
- Obtain view-only access to the CITIBank tool to verify correct travel card charges when preparing settlement vouchers.
- Assist in answering traveler questions regarding Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) policies as they relate to reimbursable travel costs.
- Provide hands-on assistance with deployment and redeployment authorizations and settlement vouchers, including assignment, execution, and support of Non-DTS Entry Agents (NDEAs) functions.
- Work independently and professionally with military and civilian personnel.
- Understand Department of Navy (DON) policies for protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and business process maps.
- Transmit and receive documents electronically using networked computers.
- Work under pressure to meet established deadlines.
- Review required travel reports daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly as needed, correct suspensions or rejects, and provide follow‑up. This includes DD577 Validation Report, Seperation of Duty (SOD) report, Un-submitted Voucher Report, Approved Status Report, etc.
- Assist command FDTA in ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and directives, including JTR, and answer traveler questions regarding JTR policies and procedures.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- Current SECRET security clearance
- Must pass Leo Tech LLC background and drug test; random drug tests are conducted annually per contract
- Knowledge of DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
- DTS order writing for CONUS, OCONUS, and No Cost orders
- Familiarity with DoD form DD 1351-2 voucher and voucher processing
- Understanding of DTS Group Authorization
- Knowledge of AD HOC reports
- Knowledge of Commercial Travel Office (CTO) reservations, policies and procedures
- High School Diploma or higher
- Documented experience in administering DTS at the Echelon IV level or higher, including DTS travel documents, NDEAs, cancellation procedures, Group Travel, Itinerary changes, City Pair Program, Routing lists, Authorizations, Vouchers, and CTO partnership
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience utilizing DTS applications to execute travel requirements, including training on all aspects of DTS
- Experience with GTCC program (IBA and CBA) at echelon IV or higher
- CITIBank experience includes DTS CBA reconciliation, card maintenance, and APC support
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
