CIS - Cyber and Network Security Faculty

Compensation: $1,499 – $1,801 per course section. Compensation is determined by discipline, credential level, and course type.  Ranges reflect good faith estimates based on current pay practices. This position will work at ECPI University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus location. OverviewECPI University is seeking a full-time Cyber & Network Security Faculty Member to deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction in cybersecurity and networking.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about teaching and preparing students for real-world careers in IT security.

Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in Cyber and Network Security in a hands-on learning environment

Deliver instruction in five-week terms with small class sizes

Provide individualized academic support to students

Incorporate real-world cybersecurity and networking practices into teaching

Collaborate with program leadership to enhance curriculum and course delivery

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications Education Master ’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fieldORMaster’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in a related discipline

Ph.D. preferred

Experience3–5 years of industry experience in cybersecurity or networking (10+ years preferred)
Experience in applications of AI in Cybersecurity Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence applications in cybersecurity

Teaching, training, or public speaking experience preferred

Technical

Skills Required:

Networking fundamentalsAI/ML concepts and applications in cybersecurity

Cisco routers and switches

Preferred:

Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
Mobile technologies

Certifications (Preferred)
