Job Description The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator / Ship Rider is responsible for the administration, maintenance, cybersecurity defense, and operational support of Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server systems supporting enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications for the NITE.This role provides both shore-based and shipboard support. As a Ship Rider, the candidate will embark on U.S. Navy vessels to provide onboard network administration and technical support during underway operations.

Deployments may require extended 12+ hour workdays for periods ranging from several weeks to over a month. The candidate must be capable of troubleshooting connectivity issues, accessing and configuring network switches via console connections, and maintaining reliable system operations in dynamic shipboard environments with limited resources.

The Network Administrator will coordinate closely with team members, Navy personnel, and technical departments to update, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and network systems both ashore and afloat. Additional responsibilities include virtual environment administration, DHCP configuration, patching and STIG implementation, system hardening, technical troubleshooting, authoring SOPs, and providing Tier 2 technical support.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple mission priorities, and maintain high-quality technical support during extended deployments.
