Position: Senior Electronic Security System Technician with Security Clearance
Senior Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician

Purpose:

* Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a Senior Electronic Security System Technician who will serve as the Site Lead for a Department of Defense customer in the Hampton Roads area.
* Leverage knowledge and skills necessary to design, install, test and maintain Electronic Security Systems

Job Description:

* Works independently, or directs teams, in the performance of technical disciplines in support of security system design, integration, installation, repair, maintenance, and documentation.
* Conducts security system database administration, provides software support, and is responsible for configuration management.
* Responsible for the development of ESS documentation to include survey reports, drawing packages, test plans and procedures, training documents and maintenance plans.
* Read and interpret customer requirements and develop responses to requests for information, proposals and quotes
* Develop, read and interpret electrical, electronic, and electronic system schematics, technical data packages and installation design plans
* Develop, read and interpret system test plans and procedures.
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and requirements regarding system performance, installations, and maintenance programs
* Provide recommended improvements to existing systems and designs using industry best practices
* Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits. Qualifications
* At least five (5) years of experience working with Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Closed-Circuit Television systems, to include installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
* Experience for qualifications must be within the last seven (7) years.
* Microsoft Operating Systems to include but limited to Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 through 2019, and Microsoft Office Suite Certification.
* At least three (3) years specifically related to electronic security systems software and installation, troubleshooting and maintenance to include Solar Winds Network Management, Genetec, Southwest Microwave, DMP and Axis brand CCTV IP Cameras.
* Shall be able to support current versions of Microsoft SQL, Enterprise Server, and Microsoft Active Directory services. Desired

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or computer science.
* Certifications or technical training is highly desirable (Lenel, Milestone, Security+. CISSP)
* Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) Certification
* Familiarity with DoD ESS requirements.
* Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and practices such as grounding and electrical safety.
* Proficient in AutoCAD or other Computer Aided Design applications.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat.
* OSHA 10- or 30-hour Safety Certification
* CPR and First Aid Certification
* Be familiar with and have a working knowledge of a multitude of systems including but not limited to:
* DoD and DoS Security Systems and requirements
* Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems such as Lenel, Vindicator, AMAG, and DMP
* IP CCTV Surveillance Systems such as Genetec, Axis, Pelco and Milestone.
* Perimeter Protection Systems such as Southwest Microwave, Fiber Sen Sys and Protech
* Mass Notification Systems such as Federal Signal Selec Tone and Si Rcom  
* Mechanical and electromechanical locking systems (electronic strikes, magnetic locks, etc.)
* TCP/IP Network Systems and Topology.
* Current Passport Security Requirements:
* Must have a current DoD "Top Secret" security clearance with the eligibility to upgrade to "SCI" Travel Requirements:
* Less than 5% Travel, international and domestic, depending on program requirements.
