Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

We have an exciting direct hire opportunity for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia!

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of machining and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnostic skills and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-12:00am, Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm, with possible deviations based on business needs. New Hire Orientation and training will be completed on 1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment such as lathes, milling machines, cranes, conveyors, and compressors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, industrial power distribution, motors, and lighting.
  • Maintain and repair facility systems including plumbing, lighting, and HVAC.
  • Apply proper lockout/tagout procedures to control hazardous energy.
  • Conduct electrical measurements using a digital multimeter, insulation tester, or similar devices to diagnose and correct faults.
  • Read and interpret machinery manuals, schematics, and flow charts for troubleshooting.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when working at height.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards regarding manufacturing and assembly equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of mechanical alignment principles and use metrology tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a mechanical or industrial maintenance role (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Experience with CNC machinery preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license (must meet Busch insurance requirements).

Job Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen and 7-year criminal history check.
  • Most felonies are disqualifying; misdemeanors considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 5%) domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work off-hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Employment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to see and hear audible and visual alarms and wear all required PPE (safety shoes, electrical hazard gear, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
