Starting Pay: $18 per hour

Position Title: Seasonal General Labor

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia

Herff Jones is the leading provider of graduation and educational products and services designed to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for students. Herff Jones’s products include class rings and jewelry, caps and gowns, diplomas, frames, announcements, and Greek accessories.

• Float between making boxes for final assembly and opening/inspecting wood for the frames department.
• May be cross‑trained in other positions on the assembly line.

• Must move at a fast pace (600–1000 boxes per day at our top levels or open and inspect 5 molding boxes per hour).
• Be able to lift 50 lbs throughout the day and stand up to 10 hours per day.
• Position does not require ruler proficiency, but this skill is beneficial for earning a permanent position if available.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous success in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success in going above and beyond to help the team achieve a goal.
• Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on‑time record.

• Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, and twisting.
• Reading, communication, and math skills.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Noise level is usually moderate to above.
