We have grown from a small wiring harness operation into a multi-million dollar company with a highly respected role as a worldwide supplier of electrical harnesses, lead wires, jumper wires, twisted pair wires, cable assemblies, molded plugs, thermoform plastics, and populated circuit boards.

Kauffman Engineering, LLC. is headquartered at 595 Bond St. Lincolnshire, IL 60069 and is accepting applications for all General Labor positions at our Virginia Beach, VA facility.

A general laborer performs any of several duties as listed below in preparation for assembly, sub-assembly, core assembly, and finishing processes in the production of the final product.

• Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

• Minimum of grammar school education.
• 3 months of related factory experience preferred.
• Following established methods and procedures, must be able to perform a variety of tasks such as build a cable assembly, cut and strip wire, pot, crimp, apply labels, plug wires into connectors, operate heat seal gun, operate a bench press, and solder wire.
• Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.
• Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials, typically not more than 35 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive work.
