Job Title:
Production Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves directly supervising 30-50 employees in a production department, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities- Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules to meet internal and external needs.
- Compute stock and supplies required for operations based on production schedules and requisition materials from storage.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for workers and assign duties.
- Plan material flow through department and develop physical layout of machines according to work orders.
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Experience in scheduling.
- Experience with performance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Management, Plant Management, General Management.
- Knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Manufacturing, Supervision, Performance Management, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is not climate‑controlled and requires flexibility on shifts. Supervisors must be open to working other shifts when necessary for coverage or if there are department changes. Steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, and personal tools are required.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60,000.00 – $65,000.00/yr. Direct Hire role, company benefits, health, vision, dental, 401K.
