Location: Norfolk, VA

Work Shift: First (Days)

Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full‑time PACU RN in our Ambulatory Surgery Center.

• PACU - Recovery
• Full Time; 40 hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• NO ON-CALL, NIGHTS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!
• Scrubs are supplied
• Services include eye, orthopedic, podiatry, plastics, general, GYN, hand
• Average number of cases per day: 20–30
• Preferred experience:
  
  2 years of acute nursing or 1 year PACU

The RN provides competent nursing care following the nursing process and professional standards. Duties include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN supports a safe, culturally congruent, collaborative environment, and utilizes evidence‑based practice and quality improvement.

Required certifications within specified time frames (details below).

• BSN or MSN preferred. A degree of any discipline is acceptable with nursing credentials.
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire;
  Emergency Care – ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved chemistry course within 6 months of hire.
• Women’s Care – Perinatal, NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Inpatient Pediatrics – PALS within 6 months of hire.
• All Direct Care RNs must have BLS within 90 days of hire.
