Registered Nurse; RN - Med​/Surg

Overview:

Sentara Virginia Beach GH is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the 4 West (4W) inpatient unit, a 24‑bed adult medical/surgical telemetry unit focused on post‑operative surgical patient care.

Hours/Shift:

Full‑time, 36 hours per week. Days 7a‑7p.

Location:

Virginia Beach, VA – 10 minutes from the Oceanfront.

Job Description:

The RN provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, supporting patients and families with education, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team, monitoring progress, making clinical adjustments and advocating for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence‑based practices.

Unit details: 4W specializes in post‑operative surgical patient care, telemetry, and acute medical/surgical management.

Education:

• ADN required; BSN or higher preferred.

Certification:

• Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

• Experienced RN s and new graduates welcome.

Sign‑On Bonuses:
