Travel Nurse Source is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Neuro RN in Virginia!
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neurosurgery/Otolaryngology – Virginia
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Central Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 13-week assignment. Choice of 36 or 48-hour work weeks. Every other weekend required. Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. 1:4 patient ratio on a 30-bed acute care unit.
Highlights:
- Specialized 30-bed Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery acute care unit
- High-acuity patient population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, pre/post neurosurgery, and ortho trauma
- Epic EMR system required; 24 hours of orientation provided
- 13-week contract with up to 40 hours of approved time off available
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- Dynamic environment with 8-10 discharges and admissions daily from PACU, ED, and ICU
Requirements:
- Active Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Experience with telemetry, blood product administration, central lines, wound care, and Med/Surg patient populations
- Ability to adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
- BSN preferred
