Frederick County Parks & Recreation is seeking a dedicated Park Maintenance (Part‑Time) professional to assist in the care and upkeep of our park lawns, athletic fields, and facilities. • Work outdoors in scenic parks and green spaces
• Enjoy a steady weekday schedule with occasional weekend shifts
• Gain hands‑on experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, and facility maintenance

Monday – Friday (Occasional weekends) | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

As Park Maintenance, you will:

• Operate light‑duty vehicles and equipment such as mowers, tractors, and pickup trucks.
• Perform landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting.
• Maintain athletic fields by preparing turf, lining, measuring, and painting fields.
• Assist with general maintenance such as carpentry, plumbing, fencing, and painting.
• Conduct janitorial duties, including cleaning bathrooms, shelters, and park facilities.
• Remove debris, manage waste disposal, and participate in snow removal operations.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally weekends.
