Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in veterinary medical procedures, possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine passion for the profession. A wicked sense of humor is a plus!

* Responsibilities:
* * Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.

* Perform laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging.

* Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.

* Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and medication administration.

* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

* Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their well-being.

* Provide compassionate care and support to animals and their owners.

* Requirements:
* * Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Virginia.

* Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent education.

* Proficiency in veterinary medical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, and surgical assistance.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and colleagues.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
