E Commerce Shipper

Job Summary

E Commerce Shipper (Finance) – Performs all duties involved in the shipping process for the E‑Commerce department, including pick, pack, and ship functions. Initiates Fed Ex claims for lost or damaged goods, pulls unsold auction items to the next designated area (Auction, Outlet, E‑Recycle), and provides assistance to the E‑Commerce Listing Specialists as time allows.

• Pull items sold/paid on Shop Good Will  for shipping.
• Packs items with appropriate shipping materials in an appropriately sized box for a secure shipment.
• Uses Fed Ex and Shop Good Will  shipment software to ship.
• Meets daily shipment goals.
• Stages packages daily for Fed Ex pickup, and assists drivers in pickup.
• Opens claims with Fed Ex for lost or damaged shipments.
• Determines next step in process of unsold items (relist, combine and list, Outlet, Auction, E‑Recycle) and takes action daily.
• Might assist with photographing and listing, as directed by the E‑Commerce Project Manager.

The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• E‑commerce research and listing experience, or equivalent knowledge from personal online sales experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of Goodwill’s product sales lines (i.e. music, jewelry, art, electronics, cameras, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of digital camera use and ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings, preferred.
