As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver in Virginia Beach, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. This part‑time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security‑related incidents, serving both armed and driving responsibilities, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sat: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sun: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients at government locations by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents or suspicious activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to deter potential threats.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
