We’re looking to add an Excavator Operator to our team, please read below for the details of the position. Applicants should have experience with excavation, trenching, pipe setting and loading trucks.

• Safely and skillfully operate various equipment including backhoes, loaders and skid steers with emphasis on excavators.
• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform tasks in a safe and accident‑free manner.

• Three years of experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving history.
• CDL Class A driver’s license preferred.
• Experience operating various equipment including backhoes, excavators, loaders and skid steer.
• Applicant must be able to pass drug test and background check.
• The position location is Chesapeake, Virginia.
• Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Can take and apply direction from supervisor.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Workers must have reliable transportation, or be able to access jobsites in any location.
• Saturdays are required periodically as needed.

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• Noise levels in the work environment is usually loud.
• Ability to wear and work in personnel protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ankle‑supporting safety‑toed work boots and a safety vest.

• Extensive moving or positioning heavy weighted materials (up to 50 lbs.).
• Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
• Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.l
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and ascend/descend to reach materials or enter heavy equipment.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
