Job Description
Experienced Commercial HVAC Technician responsible for servicing mixed commercial equipment, diagnosing complex system issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and delivering safe, efficient, and reliable HVAC solutions. This role reports to a Service Manager, operates independently with dispatcher support, participates in an occasional on-call rotation, and uses a digital work-order platform to document service activities. Advancement opportunities include a Lead Technician pathway.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues across mixed commercial HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to support system reliability and efficiency.
- Repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Handle refrigerants in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Read and interpret HVAC schematics.
- Follow occupational safety standards and service procedures.
- Provide responsive customer support and document work through a digital work-order platform.
- Participate in an occasional on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 certification.
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in HVAC diagnostics.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC schematics.
- Understanding of occupational safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service.
