HVAC​/R Pipefitter Journeyman

The HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman plays a critical role in the successful installation, maintenance, and remodeling of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems. As a skilled professional in the HVAC/R industry, the HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman is responsible for ensuring that all refrigeration systems are installed to precise specifications, local and national codes, and proper piping practices. This position supports projects in large-scale commercial and industrial environments, providing essential expertise in piping, wiring, and system assembly for a variety of refrigeration applications.

As an HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman, you will work closely with foremen and project teams to complete new installations and remodeling projects for supermarket and industrial refrigeration systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include pipe fitting, copper brazing, installing pipe hangers, hanging evaporator coils, and performing electrical wiring and basic carpentry tasks. The role requires a solid foundation in reading and interpreting refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient system assembly and troubleshooting.

This full-time position is designed for individuals who possess a high school diploma or GED, have completed trade or technical classes, and bring over five years of hands‑on experience in construction environments, specifically within commercial refrigeration, electrical, or fixtures work. Candidates must be EPA Type II certified and have demonstrated proficiency in copper brazing, market remodels, and the installation of refrigeration cases and cooler boxes.

A good driving record is required, as well as the ability to pass background checks, MVR, and drug screening requirements.
