How would you like to get paid for obliterating trash in trash dumpsters and helping the environment at the same time? Smash My Trash in Virginia Beach is immediately hiring an experienced truck driver to operate our Smash Truck on a full-time basis. If you have experience driving a big truck, operating a dump truck, fire engine, garbage truck, or any kind of equipment with hydraulics, you would be a great fit.

The successful candidate will be a good driver with a solid driving record, extremely dependable, and can perform light mechanical work including oil and air filter changes on the smash truck.

• $20.00 per hour and a guarantee of at least 30 hours per week

• Great work schedule! Route-based schedule that is typically 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday – Friday. Be home every night!

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to drive and operate our Smash My Trash truck. If you can operate dump trucks, garbage trucks, backhoes, ambulances, fire trucks, buses, and the like, you would be perfect for this job!

• Working Full-time, generally Monday through Friday and reporting directly to owner of “Smash My Trash of Virginia Beach”.
• Driving our 25,000-pound truck on a specific route of customers each day of the week and smashing down the trash in their dumpsters.
• Following all quality control procedures to ensure our customers are happy with the service you provide.
• Working as a team member and facilitate SMASH demos to prospects with our Smash My Trash Account Manager.
• Helping the Account Manager at area events and programs by bringing our Smash My Trash truck to the events and help field any technical questions about the truck and smash system.
• Maintaining our truck and equipment by reporting any issues or incidents to dispatch, inspecting the truck before and after each trip and keeping the truck clean inside and out.
• Performing routine truck maintenance such as oil changes, replacing air filters, maintaining tire pressure, and the like.
• Performing pre and post-trip inspections daily on the truck and ensuring the truck interior and exterior is clean and tidy.
• Using several apps on your phone for routing, entering Smash data, taking pictures, and performing truck maintenance.
• Attending training events to ensure you are kept up to date on any new Smash My Trash truck features, upgrades, or changes to the operating procedures.

• A minimum of 2 years driving and operating trucks of similar size.
• At least a high school diploma and a degree from the school of hard knocks.
• Able to handle a physical workload.
• Someone with a strong work ethic and can stick to a route schedule in a timely and safe way. Dependability is key!
• A team player who works well with others and can collaborate.
• Is a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and a client service mentality.
• Is willing to participate in a background check and drug screen.

The successful candidate will receive a $500.00 bonus after the first 30 days or employment and another $500.00 bonus after 180 days of employment with Smash My Trash of Virginia Beach.
