Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client, a leader in the heavy industrial services sector, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be an essential part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location:

Madison Heights, VA Pay Range: $24 per hour Shift: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday

• High volume Accounts Payable processing 350-400 invoices per week
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist in year-end reporting and collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

• Superior skills and experience in high volume accounts payable processing and invoicing
• Highly proficient data entry skills using a 10-digit keypad
• Bachelors degree or combination of degree and equivalent on-the-job Accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
• Proficiency in journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Hourly pay rate of $24 per hour, with weekly pay
• Work schedule of Monday to Friday from 7/8 am to 4/5 pm
