Job SummaryThe Production Test Technician is responsible for conducting quality control tests on electronic devices and components. The technician will operate testing equipment, perform calibration, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure devices meet performance and quality standards. In addition, the technician will maintain an organized and clean workspace to support efficiency and safety. The primary focus will be on testing, fault identification, and preparing devices for shipment or further production processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTesting and Quality Control:
- Conduct Functional and Performance Tests:
Perform tests on electronic devices and components to ensure they meet all technical and quality standards. - Operate Test Equipment:
Load, unload, and operate specialized testing equipment for accurate calibration and measurement, ensuring precise diagnostics. - Fault Identification and Troubleshooting:
Identify faults in devices, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers to correct problems related to calibration, signal output, or other failures. - Documentation:
Record test results, document any discrepancies, and maintain comprehensive records of test data for traceability and quality control. - Collaboration with Engineers:
Work closely with engineering teams to review test results, recommend design improvements, and ensure that modifications are appropriately implemented and tested.
Configuration and Shipment Preparation (Secondary Duty):
- Device Configuration:
Assist in preparing and configuring devices for shipment, ensuring they meet the required customer specifications and performance criteria. - Final Inspections:
Conduct pre-shipment inspections to verify that devices are free from defects, correctly calibrated, and securely packaged for transportation to other departments or external customers.
Maintenance of Testing Equipment and Tools:
- Test Equipment Calibration:
Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and well-maintained to provide reliable and accurate test results. - Tool Organization:
Keep testing tools and instruments in good working order and report any malfunctions to management.
Workspace Organization and Cleanliness:
- Workplace Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring testing tools, equipment, and components are safely stored and accessible. - Workspace Cleaning:
Regularly clean and disinfect workstations, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient environment. - Safety and Safety Protocols:
Follow all health and safety protocols, particularly when handling sensitive electronic components and operating test equipment.
Collaboration and Reporting:

Preferred Skills &
Qualifications:
- Education:
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent technical certifications and/or work experience. - Experience:
2+ years of experience in electronics testing, calibration, quality control, or related technical roles. - Technical
