Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator at Fellowship Church reports directly to the Communications Director and leads the church’s social media presence. This role owns strategy, content creation, posting, engagement, and analytics across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business. The Social Media Manager ensures that Fellowship’s digital voice is clear, relational, and aligned with the church’s mission to help people encounter Jesus and experience life to the full.
HoursPart-time, non‑exempt position scheduled for 24 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday. Occasional evening flexibility may be required for special events.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute weekly and monthly content strategy across social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google Business).
- Plan and schedule posts, ensuring content aligns with sermon series, events, and ministry priorities.
- Write engaging captions and adapt Fellowship’s voice for digital audiences.
- Capture high‑quality photos and short‑form videos for social‑first use.
- Repurpose sermons, testimonies, and event highlights into digital content.
- Monitor comments, messages, and reviews, responding in a relational tone.
- Proactively engage online audiences to encourage connection and next steps.
- Track and analyze performance, providing monthly reports and recommendations.
- Stay updated on platform trends, best practices, and digital engagement strategies.
- Monitor ministry‑specific social pages to ensure brand consistency, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Collaborate with Communications Team to source and publish content.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for an organization.
- Skilled in photography and video capture for social media, with basic editing ability.
- Strong writing and storytelling ability with a clear, conversational tone.
- Proficient in social media scheduling tools and analytics dashboards.
- Basic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, Cap Cut, or similar).
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage deadlines.
