Optometrist – Full‑time – Medically‑Oriented Private Practice – Cedar Bluff, VA
Eyes On Eyecare invites qualified candidates to apply for an Optometrist position in our growing multi‑location private practice with locations in southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee. We emphasize medical optometry and serve patients from infants to senior citizens.
Specialty:
Full‑time, medically‑oriented private practice.
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree (or pending).
- Valid VA state license to practice optometry (or pending).
- A clinically sound optometrist who can provide primary care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eager to provide high‑quality eye care in a patient‑focused environment.
Exposure:
You will see a wide range of eye care and vision needs with a full‑scope practice focused on medical optometry. Our physicians split their schedules roughly 50‑50 between primary care and medical conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Our associates also specialize in scleral contact lenses and low‑vision.
Environment:
You’ll have a robust team and state‑of‑the‑art technology:
Automated digital phoropters, wide‑angle retinal imaging, OCT, Keratograph 5M with Jenvis dry‑eye reporting, dark adaptometry, macular pigment density testing, Lipiview and Lipiflow.
We value work‑life balance –
no weekends and no nights
. Full‑time doctors work an 8 AM to 5 PM schedule, Monday to Friday, with only two patients per hour.
