Emergency Room Physician - PRN
Bath Community Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated ER physician to provide immediate and efficient medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on acuity, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Conduct emergency procedures such as intubations, suturing, fracture reductions, and resuscitations.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physician assistants, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide clear information and compassionate care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty.
- Valid medical license to practice in Virginia.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine is preferred.
- Previous experience in an emergency department setting, particularly in a rural or critical access hospital, is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in emergency medical procedures.
