Internal Medicine Physician

Lifecare Family Medical, located in the heart of Powhatan, VA, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team.

Youll be stepping into a busy practice with strong community roots and a leadership team dedicated to mentoring, collaboration, and long-term success.

Led by Dr. Jeffrey Dodd, Lifecare Family Medical is a thriving, independently owned clinic that blends personalized, compassionate care with evidence-based medicine. We take pride in being a trusted healthcare home for the Powhatan community. Our team is tight-knit, experienced, and committed to supporting one another and our patients.

• Immediate Need: Currently not accepting new patients due to volumeyour panel will fill quickly.
• Supportive Team: Work alongside Dr. Dodd and a loyal, experienced support staff with a family-like culture.

• Patient Volume: Avg. 35 patients/day
• Schedule:
  • Mon Thurs: 8:00am5:00pm
  • Fri: 8:00am12:00pm
• Call: Shared light call, very infrequent (23 calls per week max)
• Support Staff:
  • 2 Medical Assistants, 1 LPN (inbox management)
  • 23 front office staff
  • Long-tenured Office Manager and in-house Biller

• Mostly adult patients, some teens (minimal pediatrics)
• Full-spectrum primary care: chronic disease management, preventative, acute visits
• In-office procedures: biopsies, cryotherapy, toenail removal, I&D, womens health

• MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• New graduates welcome, mentorship and training provided
• Long-term interest in leadership, community medicine, and continuity of care
