Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician to provide comprehensive medical care in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Tappahannock, VA. The Physician will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the healthcare needs of residents, ensuring high-quality care in a long-term care setting. This position requires collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and promote overall well‑being.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for residents

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and quality outcomes

  • Educate patients, families, and staff on disease management and preventive care

Skills and Qualifications
  • Active Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license in the state of Virginia

  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), long‑term care, or geriatric medicine preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
