Neonatal Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist with recent neonatology experience to join their team as a per diem Neonatal Hospitalist at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will provide high-quality care across a 22-bed Level III NICU and Newborn Nursery while collaborating with experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners. You will attend high-risk deliveries, provide neonatal resuscitation, and manage complex newborn medical conditions in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Practice Info

• 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms
• Approximately 1,700 annual deliveries
• Comprehensive care in the NICU and Newborn Nursery

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and expand procedural skills
• Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Diagnose and manage newborn medical conditions
• Care for premature and medically complex infants in conjunction with the Neonatologists
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Newborn airway management including intubation
• Umbilical arterial and venous catheter placement
• Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent experience in Neonatology required
• VA license required
