• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Support each child’s social and emotional development
• Establish positive and effective family relations
• Work with the lead teacher and faculty to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons
• Assist in creating and maintaining essential classroom resources
• Cooperate with school staff to maintain student behavior standards
• Participate in teacher training and professional development

• High school diploma required
• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required
• Empathy and compassion for young children
• Dependable, adaptable, and collaborative
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle children safely
• For infant and young toddler teachers: ability to lift infants into and out of a crib
